Flavanols - The supporting science
Dietary intake of a specific subclass of flavonoids known as flavanols (also flavan-3-ols) has attracted increasing interest because of recent epidemiological and human intervention studies suggesting potential cardiovascular, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and cognitive health benefits. This site provides information resources which focusses on the health benefits of flavanols and other polyphenols. The purpose is to provide an up-to-date resource for researchers, regulators and the general public to better inform decisions.
